Here are the places worth seeing:

• Krakow: the most beautiful Polish city – the former capital of Poland. Wawel Castle is one of the biggest attractions, as well as Wit Swosz’s altar in St. Mary’s Church, the oldest Polish university – Jagiellonian University. Krakow is placed on the list of 12 objects of world heritage by UNESCO.
• Auschwitz: was established by the Nazis in 1940 on the outskirts of the town of Oświęcim which, like other areas in Poland, was occupied by the Germans during the World War II. The name of the city Oświęcim was changed to Auschwitz and, was also the name of the death camp.
• Wieliczka: : is one of the most unusual sights on an European scale, so when you are in Krakow it is worth going on a trip to medieval salt mine. The route of the trip leads through corridors and chambers on three levels. One of the most beautiful places in the salt mine is richly decorated Chapel of Blessed Kinga which is sculpted in salt.
• Wadowice: : family home of Karol Wojtyła , now museum of Pope John Paul II. The museum includes former housing of Wojtyła family and adjacent rooms on the first floor. There is a rich visual material inside which shows the most important moments of Karol Wojtyła’s life, photographs form his childhood, school years, and adolescence, from the time when he was a priest, bishop, cardinal, and the pope.
• Zakopane: called winter capital of Poland – is the largest centre for tourism and mountain skiing. Tourists are not only attracted by the Tatra Mountains, but also interesting culture of Zakopane and Podhale region.

• Route III - Wadowice (place of birth of Pope John Paul II), Kalwaria Zebrzydowska (Basilica of the Bernardine Fathers and open-air Way of the Cross), Lanckorona (a picturesque town)
• Route IV - Oświęcim (Auschwitz museum – extermination camp)
• Route V - Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains (Chocholowska Valley, Krupówki, Gubałówka, Pęksowy Brzysek)
